Dear Father and Mother
I have received the Box
which you sent me whitch
I am well pleased of it
I like my Shirts and Suspenders
firstrate  all the falt I have
my Boots is to big  I like
the way they are made pret
ty well  I am verriy well
pleased the cegars you Sent me
father I got your Letter a bout
week before I got the Box
the Box was at Nashville but
I did not get it bout a week
I have not much news to
write only there was a greate
Stir last night  an order
came for every man be redy
for the enemy will attact us
before daylight but they
did not come  I dont think
they will but it is best to
be redy  we have news that
we have the Lookout mountain
well I got a Letter from John
he has been sick ever Sence
he went on that trip  he is
at Little Rock Arkansas
well I am Sorry that the early
frost has kill the corn  we have
to take it as it comes  well
I must close for the presant
hopeing to hear from you
As Soon this Letter leaves me
well I hopeing it will
find you enjoying the Same
