Dear Father  I now Seat my
Self down to drop you a few
lines I am well at presant
and hopeing you are enjoying
the Same blessing  we are
looking for an attact here at
any moment  Rojsey Crans
is falling back  there is a large
force comeing a gainst us
we have taken in twelve
gerrillias the day before yestur
day two miles from this place
there was a bout 40 of them
well father the pay master has
been here and paid us Some
money. he has paid us $52 dollars
but I will express $40. Dollars
home in your care and I want
you to let me know when
you get it  well father I wrote
to George for you to Send me
a pare of Boots and pair of
Suspenders and Shirts if you
have them redy  well I forgot
to tell you I will express my
money to Tearehaute at the
express office Tearrehaute  well
I have not much time to
write  hopeing to hear from
you Soon  with those few
lines I will Close  from your
